What size is Tuscobia Lake?

Tuscobia Lake is 176 acres with a maximum depth of 25 feet.  About 80% of the lake is between 2-7 feet deep, and 20% is 8-25 feet deep.

Do I need a credit card to check in?

The resort requires a credit card or debit card to be on file for incidental charges.

What time is check-in and checkout?

Resort check-in time begins at 2 p.m.

Resort checkout time is 11 p.m.

Is it possible to check in early? May we use the facilities before check-in?

Our resort cannot guarantee cottages will be ready for check-in before 2 p.m.; however, in the event of arriving before check-in time, guests are welcome to use the recreational facilities until their cottage is ready.

Can I bring my pet?

No, sorry our resort does accept any pets.

How far away is the airport from the resort?

The Rice Lake Regional Airport is just nine miles from Stonehaven.  MSP Airport is located approximately 120 miles from the resort.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, free wireless Internet connections are available in your cottage.

Are there any restaurants at the resort?

No, but there are a variety of excellent restaurants just minutes from the resort.

What TV channels are available in the cottages?

On site antenna brings in local TV stations from Eau Claire, WI.  The major networks we receive here are ABC, NBC, and FOX. Netflix and free wifi channels are also available.  

Do you have hair dryers in the room?

Yes, hair dryers are available in every cottage.

What is the cancellation policy? 

The amount of your refund is determined by when you contact Stonehaven Cottages of your decision to cancel.

For cancellations occurring 14 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival, a full refund is granted.

Cancellations made within 13 days (13 days or less) of scheduled arrival will only be refunded 50% of the reservation fee.

What is stocked in the kitchen of a cottage?

Our cottages will provide you with a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, electric stove, basic cookware, dish ware and utensils.

Do the cottages have a washer and dryer?

No, not at the present time, but possibly in the future.

Are cribs available?

The resort offers Pack ’n Plays upon request and based on availability.

How old do I have to be to rent a cottage?

You must be at least 18 years of age to reserve and check into a cottage.  All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

Proof of age via government-issued identification may be required at check-in for all occupants.

Where do I park/is there a fee?

As a guest of Stonehaven, there is no additional fee for parking.  We ask that you park in the lot of the cottage in which your are staying.  Extra parking space is available if needed at no extra charge.

Can I bring my own boat?

Yes, Guests are welcome to bring their own boats, canoes, and kayaks to Tuscobia Lake as long as it is under 16 feet or less and not an inboard. We do not allow jet skis, speed boats, and wave runners on our resort, however, there are several lakes in the area where these types of watercraft are better suited and can be used.
